"The Entity doesn't want you to be perfect. It just wants to see how much pain you can take."
Time to finish: 15–25 Hours (Over 30 Hours if you dare to try the hardest modes)
Welcome to the fog! This is a massive, long-form challenge where every single choice matters. Your ultimate goal? Win a game with every single Killer. But there is a twist: if you lose a match, the game isn't over. Instead, things just get darker and harder. Here is how your story unfolds.
Before your Killer steps into the trial, you have to build their loadout. Think of the perks in Dead by Daylight as 8 different "schools of magic" (we call them Disciplines). You are only allowed to pick four different schools. You cannot pick the same one twice! Once you have your four schools, choose exactly one perk from each.
You start your first game feeling powerful with all 4 of your chosen perks. If you win, congratulations! That Killer is completely finished. But if you lose? You begin The Descent. The Entity demands a sacrifice. You must throw away one of your perks forever. You get to choose which one to lose, but you are now weaker. If you lose again, you lose another perk. And another.
What
happens when you lose all your perks? The Entity gives you one final chance to prove yourself. You
must play a game with no perks at all.
If you somehow survive and win this
test, you get to climb back up! You earn back 1 perk and get to keep trying.
But if you lose
this final test? The Entity gets angry. Those 4 perks you originally picked are now banned
forever for that specific Killer. You have to start their story all over again by
drafting 4 brand new perks.
Did you manage to win a game with every single Killer? Amazing! But the story isn't over. Now, you unlock the endgame. These are terrifying new rules that change everything.
You are no longer allowed to use strong items. Only the weakest Brown and Yellow add-ons are allowed.
Before you even pick your perks, the Entity randomly bans two whole Disciplines. You have to make do with what's left.
The punishment for losing is much faster. If you lose once, you drop straight down to 2 perks. Lose again, and you are immediately at zero.
A normal win isn't good enough anymore. If even one survivor escapes (through the gates or the hatch), it counts as a loss. You must kill all four.
Complete pacifism. Never trigger a chase sequence.
Total territorial dominance. Confine your prey.
Cleanse the realm. Touch no generators until the end.
See how you stack up against the rest of the Fog.
